50 Cent

Ooops …. Someone’s gonna get into trouble ‘cos ‘50 Cent's’ new album “Before I Self Destruct” has been leaked online.
The album, which has been delayed for over A YEAR, is not scheduled for release until 23rd November
However, the ENTIRE album surfaced across many file-sharing websites yesterday.
The 16-track album is the follow-up to 2007's “Curtis” and includes a number of guest collaborators including Eminem and R. Kelly.

Foo Fighters

The Foo Fighters have confirmed that their gig at the Studio 606 complex in California will be broadcast live via Facebook.
Following in the footsteps of U2's recent concert on YouTube, The Foo Fighters will broadcast their show at 2am (GMT) on Saturday.
Fans are advised to check the band's official Facebook page for further details.
The Foo Fighters are also releasing their “Greatest Hit’s” on 2nd November.

Congratulations to new kid on block Adam Young (AKA: Owl City) who scores his first U.S No.1 single with “Fireflies” which shifted 650,000 in first-week digital downloads.
His electronica alter ego-has been anything but expected. “So far,” says the shy 23-year-old from Owatonna, Minn., “everything has been shocking to me.”

George Michael

George Michael will re-release his Christmas single this year (from last year) titled: “December song”- a track he gave away via his website last year - as a one-off release on Island Records.
The song, written with longtime collaborator David Austin, will be available on download from December 13th and physically in stores a day later.
George Michael also releases his “Live in London” DVD on 7th December, he’s also set to make an appearance on this years X Factor final.

Kristinia DeBarge - Sabotage

Je n'avais pas vraiment été tendre il y a quelques mois avec Goodbye de Kristinia DeBarge. Mon côté hooligan pour Britney sans doute... mais force est de constater que je vais remballer mes a priori !


Sabotage est le second extrait d'"Exposed", premier album de la pulpeuse californienne sur lequel ont entre autres bossé Ryan Tedder de OneRepublic (oui oui, encore !) et Babyface. Rien de révolutionnaire, mais une pop soupoudrée de RnB bien sympathique !

MLB coming to CLT ... for one day

For the first time in nine years, the Charlotte Knights will play host to a Major League Baseball exhibition game next spring. The Knights will play against their parent club, the Chicago White Sox, on April 1, 2010 at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill at 7 p.m.

“This is a great way to kick off the 2010 baseball season hosting the White Sox,” said Knights Vice-President/General Manager Dan Rajkowski. “Knights fans will be excited to see Chicago’s players and will enjoy seeing some former Knights players back here as well.”

“Every spring, we say it takes more than 25 players to win a championship,” said Ken Williams, White Sox senior vice president/general manager. “Each year, players from the Knights come to Chicago to play important roles in helping us win games. We are looking forward to returning to Charlotte to play this exhibition game in front of the city’s great fans. Players you see on both teams at this game will be difference makers in the Major Leagues in 2010. For us, this is one of our first steps in a season we believe will end with a postseason appearance for the White Sox next October.”

“This is just another great example of how Don Beaver and the entire Knights organization give back to their fans and to the Region as a whole,” said Jeff Beaver executive director of the Charlotte Sports Commission. “The tradition of bringing first-class events to our community continues with this game, providing everyone an opportunity to see the Knights and their parent club prepare for the opening of their seasons. It is also another example of our good fortune to have Triple-A baseball!”

The Knights and White Sox faced off in an exhibition in 1999 at Knights Stadium. The last MLB exhibition was held on March 31, 2001 and featured the White Sox playing host to Montreal Expos (now Washington Nationals). The game was held in front of 12,020 fans.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on December 1. Ticket prices will range from $7 – 19. The Knights are offering a special ticket package for the exhibition game and Knights opening day game. Fans can purchase a field box seat for the White Sox exhibition and opening day for $29 or $23 for a lower level reserve seat.

The Knights 2010 home opener is April 15 at 7:15 p.m. vs. the Gwinnett Braves.

U2

U2 have just announced a free live show in Germany to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The group will play in front of the Brandenburg Gate on 5th November (4 days before the 20th anniversary of the demolition of the wall)
The concert will be broadcast at the MTV Europe Music Awards, which is also being held on the same night in Berlin.

2009 has certainly been a fantastic year for David Guetta, with x2 global solo No.1 singles under his belt and a massive global smash producing the Black Eyed Peas hit “I gotta feelin’” he’s bowing out of 2009 with a massive new dance single featuring …Estelle titled “One love” and it’s just as good as the previous two hits:

Them Crooked Vultures

Rock supergroup ‘Them Crooked Vultures’ have premiered their debut single “New Fang” on YouTube yesterday.
The track is taken from Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones' eponymous first album, which is due for release on 17th November.
The band was created earlier this year in Los Angeles as a collaborative project between members of ‘Queens of the Stone Age’, ‘Foo Fighters’ and ‘Led Zeppelin’.
‘Them Crooked Vultures ‘are also preparing to start on a sell-out tour of the UK in December.

Opera Carolina to stage 'Porgy & Bess'

Dannii Minogue

Dannii Minogue has announced that she’s going to release an unheard album that she originally recorded way back in 1995.
Dannii Minogue started putting her (then 3rd) studio disc together 14 years ago, but the project was eventually scrapped when she parted company with MCA Records.
“Girl”, which contained the massive hit singles “All I Wanna Do” and “Disremembrance”, eventually became Dannii’s third release two years later, but these 1995 recordings remained on the shelf.
These recordings will now be released on 23rd November.
Dannii is also planning to re-release her 1991 debut album “Love And Kisses” and 1993 follow-up “Get Into You” on the same date.
Dannii wrote on her Twitter: “They are still getting tweaked so we give you the best possible product. Hope you like them.”

I for one can't wait! i personnally think that Dannii has released some of the best club / dance songs around!

Alexandra Burke ft. Flo-Rida - Bad Boys

Bref article mais nécessaire focus sur Alexandra Burke. Cette anglaise, dernière lauréate de X Factor là bas, avait pris l'Europe de court fin 2008 avec Hallelujah sa très belle reprise de Jeff Buckley (et son clip au 5 milliards de bougies, aux images best-of de l'émission; aux 20 euros de budget donc).


Un an plus tard, la voici prête à prendre son envol avec un premier album "Overcome" dans les bacs depuis lundi outre-Manche. Et là... Surpriiiiiiiiiiiiiise ! La douce fée s'est transformée en bombe RnB ! Vraiment prometteur.

Premier extrait : Bad Boys avec Flo-Rida, déjà numéro un an Angleterre ! Très efficace !

Rihanna - Russian Roulette

Mardi, à 17h23 en France, c'était au tour de Rihanna de dévoiler sur le net son nouveau single : Russian Roulette. Oui oui, j'avoue, je faisais partie des milliers de tarés qui réactualisaient la page en non-stop des minutes avant pour l'écouter le plus tôt possible :-)

Prélude de "Rated R", son nouvel album originellement attendu pour début 2010 mais confirmé il y a quelques jours pour le 23 novembre, ce single a la lourde tâche de succéder à l'incroyable suite de hits de la belle.


A l'écriture, la compo et la production : Ne-Yo, l'un des artistes RnB les plus talentueux de sa génération. Dommage peut-être qu'il lègue tous ses meilleurs morceaux aux autres. Le thème : la roulette russe, ce qui traverse l'esprit de la jeune femme avant de presser la détente... soit de façon imagée une relation amoureuse périlleuse.

Le texte est plutôt soigné, la mélodie particulièrement simple mais délicate et efficace (comme bien souvent avec Ne-Yo). On y entend une Rihanna qui réussit avec amplitude et sans agacer me semble-t-il des grands huit vocaux, soulignant ainsi l'excellent travail effectué depuis Pon De Replay. Dans cette tonalité entre complaintes et sensualité, Rihanna prend un risque mais pose parfaitement le décor et surprend très agréablement.

Pour ma part, j'adhère, j'adore, et j'ai vraiment hâte d'entendre le reste de l'album (Te Amo y sera-t-il ?) ! Heureusement, c'est pour bientôt : The Wait Is Ova...

Kravitz cancels Charlotte concert

From a Live Nation press release that just popped into our inbox:

Lenny Kravitz has regretfully announced that he must cancel his upcoming concert at The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC due to a scheduling conflict resulting from a vocal injury the artist suffered while performing in New York City last week. The October 27th concert will not be rescheduled during the singer’s current US tour.

Said Lenny Kravitz "I'm very sorry and disappointed to not be able to pay my fans in North Carolina a visit. I was looking forward to returning to Charlotte and perform for everyone there. I look forward to coming back when I head back out on the road in the US next year.”

Refunds will be issued to fans at point of purchase starting Thursday October 22. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be refunded automatically.

Kravitz’s US tour dates are taking place to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his debut release Let Love Rule. The tour will culminate in a headlining performance at the Voodoo Experience Festival in New Orleans, LA on November 1st.

Adam Lambert

American Idol runner up Adam Lambert's debut single called “Time for Miracles” has been leaked on the internet a week before its planned premiere on October 27.

“Time for Miracles” was suppose to be launched at the screenings of Michael Jackson's “This is it” movie, but was accidentally placed on the Italian iTunes.
“Time for miracles” will be on the soundtrack to forthcoming apocalypse film 2012
Adam Lambert has also collaborated with Pink and Linda Perry on his new album due for release on November 23rd

U2 will stream their concert live via the internet this weekend, a ‘YouTube’ promo announced that the band's forthcoming show at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California will be streamed on the video site.

Lady GaGa - Bad Romance

Malgré sa fuite il y a quelques jours déjà sur Internet, c'est aujourd'hui lundi que Lady GaGa présentait officiellement son nouveau single Bad Romance.


Produit par RedOne (qui est derrière PokerFace, Just Dance ou encore Kat DeLuna et Sean Kingston...), ce morceau introduit la réédition de son incroyable premier album : "The Fame". Incroyable tant c'est une merveille. Incroyable tant c'est un succès : 4 millions d'exemplaires vendus à ce jour. Incroyable aussi, tant Lady GaGa a développé un véritable phénomène : style, modernité, classe, talent. Elle a tout pour prétendre prendre la suite de Madonna (d'ailleurs leur passation de pouvoirs était vraiment très drôle... sont forts les ricains).


Une fois de plus, la GaGa ne blague pas. Ce ne sont pas moins que 8 inédits qui seront proposés dans la réédition de cet album qui comporte déjà une belle palette de hits. Un EP en fait (moins qu'un album, plus qu'un single), du nom de The Monster au sujet duquel la belle a déclaré :

Dans ma réédition "The Fame Monster", j'ai écrit à propos de tout ce que je n'avais pas pu poser dans "The Fame". En voyageant à travers le monde pendant deux ans j'ai rencontré quelques monstres, tous représentés pas une chanson différente sur ce nouvel album : ma "Peur du Monstre du Sexe", ma "Peur du Monstre de l'Alcool", ma "Peur du Monstre de l'Amour", ma "Peur du Monstre de la Mort", ma "Peur du Monstre de la Solitude" etc.

J'ai passé pas mal de nuits en Europe de l'Est, et cet album est conçu autour d'une expérience pop avec des rythmes industriels/gothiques, des mélodies dance des années 90, d'une obsession pour le génie lyrique et la mélancolie de la pop des années 80 aussi... J'ai écrit en regardant des défilés de mode avec le son coupé et je suis ravie de pouvoir dire que ma musique est calibrée pour eux.

La révélation de ce nouveau single et son envoi aux radios partout dans le monde appuie encore plus l'omniprésence de Lady GaGa dans l'actualité musicale : Eh, Eh marche plutôt bien chez nous, Paparazzi est entré en playlist sur NRJ il y a tout juste 3 semaines... et pourtant, entre le fort buzz dont il a bénéficié sur le net (Lady GaGa avait d'ailleurs déclaré sur son twitter qu'elle regrettait la fuite du titre en mauvaise qualité, que cela nuisait à l'appréciation du morceau, concluant par un hashtag devenu célèbre : #stopleakinggaga) et une efficacité redoutable, Bad Romance ne risque pas de passer inaperçu.

Rien n'arrête Lady GaGa. Et c'est tant mieux.

Alexandra Burke has beaten Robbie Williams to the top of the UK singles chart.“Bad Boys”, sold 187,100 copies last week to become the fastest-selling single of the year so far.
Robbie Williams went in at No.2 selling 89,238 copies, which is his 27th Top 10 hit since 1996.

Michael Bolton - Just One Love

Michael Bolton, 56 ans et des dizaines de disques de platine au compteur, a commencé sa carrière dans un groupe de heavy-métal des années 70. Un peu un flop. Mais depuis, il a bien changé le Michou !


De la coupe mulet Michael Bolton passe au costume de tombeur qui va si bien avec sa voix chaleureuse. Du coup, il signe une collaboration sur la B.O. du film "Hercule" de Disney, des duos avec Céline Dion, Ray Charles, Zucchero ou encore Pavarotti mais surtout une magnifique reprise de When A Men Loves A Woman.


Il y a quelques semaines, Michael Bolton sortait son 17ème album, "One World One Love", aux crédits duquel on retrouve notamment Ne-Yo et Lady GaGa. Et j'ai un véritable coup de coeur pour le premier single : Just One Love. Une petite ballade Pop/Rock très ricaine servie par une voix exceptionnelle... C'est pas révolutionnaire on est d'accord, mais très efficace !

Rihanna

Rihanna has confirmed that she will release her new album next month, Rihanna posted a message on her Twitter page: “The Wait Is Ova. Nov 23 09.”
A representative for Rihanna later confirmed the date as when her fourth studio record is released.
The name and track listing are still under wraps, but Rihanna has worked with: Ne-Yo, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Jay-Z and Pharrell on the new album.

Pink

I went to see ‘Pink’s “Funhouse” concert last night in “The O2”, Dublin and it was fantastic!
I was actually quite surprised how many ‘Pink’ songs I love, she’s certainly got a good set of lungs on her and to say she’s physically fit would be an understatement... from the acrobatic entrance to her free falling into a swimming pool … 2 hours of pure entertainment!

Children's Theatre adds more 'Beauty'

Due to enthusiastic demand, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is delighted to announce added performances to the run of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast”. Children’s Theatre’s original staging of this classic story brings the beloved characters and songs of Disney’s hit movie to life.

In 1991, “Beauty and the Beast” became the first animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Prompted by the film’s success, Disney developed a stage version with an eye toward Broadway. The resulting show was nominated for 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and has thrilled audiences around the world.

While true to the spirit of the movie and show, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” features all-new costume and scenic designs, conceived specifically for this production. “It was very important to us to bring our own perspectives and thoughts about ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to bear on the design process,” says Artistic Director Alan Poindexter, who directs the production. “We want to honor the magic of this beautiful story with a production that creates new magic for our audience.”

Boys Like Girls - She's Got A Boyfriend Now

Un peu dans la veine des All-American Rejects et autres Panic ! At The Disco, dans mes nombreux coups de coeur du moment il y a les Boys Like Girls.


Ils sont jeunes, ils sont un peu déjantés, ils sont ricains, ils parlent d'amour, ils font du rock... et ils ont même percé sur Internet (sur PureVolume en 2005-2006). C'est vous dire si la recette n'est pas conçue pour un carton international !


Le quatuor de Boston a sorti le 8 septembre dernier aux États-Unis son deuxième album : Love Drunk. Opus sur lequel on retrouve ce titre : She's Got A Boyfriend Now. Des bons vocals servis par des paroles efficaces, une mélodie entêtante, une bonne prod. J'adore !

Janet Jackson has announced that she’s is releasing a greatest hits album on November titled “The best” which will be a collection of 34 of Janet’s biggest hits and also a new track titled: “Make Me” which she has recorded with Rodney Jerkins. Alexandra Burke is winning this weeks fight with Robbie Williams the No.1 single spot in the UK on Sunday, She’s actually outselling Robbie by more than two-to-one.
Alexandra’s single “Bad Boys”, (which features Flo Rida) sold just under 90,000 copies on Monday alone, (Alexandra should go on to shift well over 200,000 copies of the song by Sunday) putting her well on course for the biggest selling single of 2009 in the UK.
Currently held by Lady GaGa (feat...Colby O'Donis) with her single “Just Dance” which has sold 598,695 copies.

Darin - Viva La Vida

Darin Zanyar, alias Darin tout court se fait connaître en Suède à l'âge de 17 ans à peine en se hissant en finale de la Nouvelle Star locale. Exactement comme Agnès qui perce actuellement en France (Release Me, On And On).


Avec déjà 5 albums (dont le dernier date d'il y a moins d'un an), 2 disques d'or et un de platine derrière lui, Darin se remet au travail il y a quelques mois et proposait la semaine dernière un nouveau single qui créée la surprise : Viva La Vida, une reprise du bijou de Coldplay.


Ambitieux... Surtout quand on sait que le garçon officie plutôt dans le RnB. Malgré des effets à la Mario Vazquez (Gallery) et surtout à la Daniel Bedingfield (If You're Not The One), je suis vraiment conquis. Le début d'une carrière internationale ?

Je vous en parlais il y a quelques temps déjà, mais il faut absolument que cette petite merveille ait son article dédié. Je tourne en boucle depuis quelques jours sur le dernier Michael Bublé : Haven't Met You Yet.


On garde la recette jazzy qui lui va si bien. Vous rajoutez une once de pop, un zeste d'amour et vous servez le tout avec un grand sourire... Ca y est : vous écoutez Haven't Met You Yet (ça fait pub pour une barquette Bolino là non ?).

J'aime ta musique. Je fais partie de tes tout premiers fans, j'étais de ceux qui avaient acheté Just Dance le jour de sa sortie, le 8 avril 2008, bien avant que ton talent n'éblouisse le monde entier.

J'aime tes démentielles prestations live. Je fais partie de ceux qui ont regrettent encore de n'avoir pas pu venir te voir en concert à Paris (les deux fois en plus, la loose !!). Je ne rate en revanche aucun de tes passages télé partout dans le monde.

Je m'émerveille à chacun de tes clips. J'ai vraiment halluciné devant le court-métrage Paparazzi qui parvient pourtant à peine à approcher la qualité du morceau (un des meilleurs titres pop de tous les temps à mon sens).
