Gorillaz have announced their first world tour... They will play 20 gigs in America, (including their first ever show at Madison Square Gardens). 2 dates at London’s O2 Arena will form part of 10 European dates before the virtual band move onto Asia and Australia for seven further shows.Gorillaz had previously announced a UK & Ireland tour but it’ll now become part of the ‘Escape To Plastic Beach World Tour’, with those dates including a new show at the Brighton Centre.
The group have promised fans a ‘wild and organic experience’ on the tour, which will kick off its European leg in The O2, Dublin on 11th November.
Gorillaz will release the FANTASTIC track ‘Melancholy Hill’ as the first commercial single from ‘Plastic Beach’ on July 27.
