Natalia Kills - Mirrors

JLS

JLS's next single that is due to be released in America will feature Shontelle.
Production duo The Runners posted a message on Twitter claiming that the Shontelle featured on the track ‘Ay Mama’ then Shontelle re-posted the message, adding: “SURPRISE!!!!”
According to the producers the single will be released in America on 14th September.

JLS have continued their attempt to crack the American market despite thier first single ‘Everybody In Love’ failing to make an impact.

The Saturdays

The Saturdays have finally recorded a track with Flo Rida after being denied a No.1 single because of him TWICE!
The group thanked him for featuring on the song via a letter... It read: “"We are sorry we couldn't be around today - we are gutted to have missed you!... “We want to thank you so much for doing the track with us. We are so excited that you are a part of it! Have an amazing time shooting the video and we hope to meet you really soon.”
Flo Rida responded by tweeting: “Thank you for the letter and the opportunity to collab with you! the song is a smash.”

Band member Rochelle Wiseman recently joked that they should collaborate with Flo Rida to get a number one single after being beaten by him on two occasions... See, careful what you wish for!

Lady GaGa & Scissor Sisters

Lady GaGa has reportedly agreed to collaborate with the Scissor Sisters on an upcoming song.
Reports suggest that frontman Jake Shears met the Lady Gaga at Sir Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball back in June and they have both been negotiating the details of the project since the meeting, and are in the final stages of reaching an agreement.
Would love to see this happen – the results would be fantastic!

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson has been named the most downloaded artist in the world.
According to a music channel data from the Nokia Ovi Music Store places Michael Jackson ahead of Lady GaGa, Elvis Presley, the Black Eyed Peas and Rihanna.
Michael Jackson is reportedly most popular in India, where 26% of all Ovi downloads are of his songs.

Kimberly Wyatt

Kimberly Wyatt has revealed that she is open to the idea of a future reunion with the Pussycat Dolls.
Kimberly left the Pussycat Dolls back in February this year.
Speaking to a national newspaper Kimberly said that despite previous conflicts she would consider rejoining her former bandmates to experience the ‘electric’ energy that the group once shared.
She said: “It's just too soon right now. Give us a few more years and we'll see what happens... “There are many things that tell me no, but I think about the energy of being with those girls on stage. When you put all of us together, it's pretty electric. Maybe one day.” ... “I'm really excited for Nicole and everything that she's doing. It's been nice to step away and put everything to rest. I've become very content with everything that's happened in the past... “I'm thankful for each and every one of those girls.”

Nicholas Sparks to pay visit to Charlotte

Bestselling author Nicholas Sparks will be in Charlotte next month to sign copies of his new book "Safe Haven" (which is due in stores two days earlier); the appearance is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, at Barnes & Noble at The Arboretum, 3327 Pineville-Matthews Road.

All of 15 novels written by Sparks -- a resident of New Bern, N.C. -- have been set in the Carolinas ... and all have been New York Times bestsellers. Nine have reached No. 1 on the list, and eight have been made into films.

He says his new novel is "a love story and a tale filled with suspense and mystery." The description from his publicist is: "When a young woman appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, a story unfolds about the darker forces of love, and what can happen when fear is replaced by belief -- in oneself, in second chances and in the power of forces that must be accepted but can never be fully understood."

NE-YO - Beautiful Monster

USHER - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love

Il reprend Teenage Dream de Katy Perry et Just The Way You Are de Bruno Mars en homme-instrument... et avec brio.

Regardez plutôt, c'est impressionnant.

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue has premiered her new American single ‘Get Outta My Way’.
Kylie performed the single on the first semi-final results episode of ‘America's Got Talent’ earlier this week.’
Kylie looked as stunning as ever in a short black dress with gold accessories and shoes, and performed a brand new routine for the track using chairs, as she sung a montage of all her music videos was played in the background.

Since her performance on the TV show the single has already entered the US iTunes chart!

U2

Tut tut ... It’s being reported that U2 have been fined following a rehearsal in Barcelona last year.
A spokesperson for the city's town hall has reportedly said that the band was fined $22,000 (£14,147) for rehearsing too loudly and beyond their scheduled time in June 2009.
It has been reported that the group played for 2 hours beyond their scheduled rehearsal finish time of 10pm ahead of their concert at the Camp Nou stadium on their ‘360’ world tour.
They reportedly also played at sound levels that exceeded those set by Spanish authorities and a complaint was lodged by nearby residents.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry has donated pillows and blankets to people waiting to see her perform... Fans are camping out in order to see Katy play a free concert at an outdoor plaza in New York City.
The gig is part of the promotion of her album ‘Teenage Dream’ on The Today Show (Tonight).
Katy Perry wrote on Twitter: “I had special ‘Teenage Dream’ pillows & blankys made just for those of you that are camping out for The Today Show! Yay!”... Nice to see some artists giving back to their fans and appreciating them! Good girl Katy!

AFTER three decades as one of the world's most renowned comedians, Robin Williams will finally embark on his first ever stand-up comedy tour of Oz

The Weapons of Self Destruction tour will play arenas in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The Oscar-winning star of Good Will Hunting and Insomnia has been a frequent visitor to Australia to promote films but he has only ever performed a couple of one-off club shows here, including an impromptu performance at The Sugarmill in Sydney in February.

Earlier this year, Williams, 59, created a storm of indignation after joking that Australian’s are “basically English rednecks” on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd shot back that Williams should “spend a bit of time in Alabama” before calling other people rednecks. Mr Rudd’s widely reported comments sparked anger in America’s southern states.

“That was pretty bizarre,” the comedian told the Herald Sun.

“I was like: Wow! I’ve started an international incident! I don’t want to cause a war between Alabama and Australia – please no!”

Williams said Australia was “an amazing country” and he’d meant no offence.

“I was talking about the accent, not talking about a state of mind,” he said.

The comedian said he’d decided to finally tour Australia after taking his show to every other major English speaking territory in the world.

“You’re the last frontier!” he said. “So that’s the best place to go.”

The Weapons of Self Destruction tour played more than 100 cities in the US, Canada and the UK during 2008 and 2009, with tickets frequently selling out in a matter of minutes.

The tour had to be temporarily postponed in March last year while the comedian underwent heart surgery to receive a transplanted aortic valve from a cow.

“I feel a lot better,” he said. “It’s me 2.0!”

A HBO broadcast of Weapons of Self Destruction, recorded in Washington last year, has been nominated for three Emmy awards.

Promoter Paul Dainty, Chair of Dainty Consolidated Entertainment, said he had first made Williams an offer to tour in 2002, when the comedian returned to stand up after a 16 year break. He said he'd chasing him ever since.

“I must have asked him 50 times,” he said. “He’s true comedian’s comedian and his tour was one of the hottest tickets in America.”

Tickets go on sale at midday on September 2 with prices yet to be announced. Dates as follows:

- November 4, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, www.ticketek.com.au

- November 7 and 8, Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena, www.ticketek.com.au

- November 11 and 12, Sydney Entertainment Centre, www.ticketmaster.com.au

McFly

McFly have revealed that they have almost completed their new album.
Taio Cruz has produced two tracks for the album (the title has yet to be announced) and the rest with US producer Dallas Austin.
Band member Harry Judd said: “We may have some additional production to do. There's half of it we haven't heard completely finished... “We've recorded most of it and left it with Dallas. He kind of works his magic with it and puts his synths on. So far the songs we've heard back we're really happy with.”
However, despite working with a pair of R&B-oriented producers on the album, the band insisted that they have not abandoned their old sound entirely, describing lead single ‘Party Girl’ as its most ‘extreme’ track.
Harry said: “There are a few [songs] on there that, if anything, are more old-school McFly than we had on ‘Radio:ACTIVE’”
Other band member Tom Fletcher added: “There's a lot of variety. Some songs are more soulful and sexy, and others are more ballady.”

McFly release their single ‘Party Girl’ on 6th September.

Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit have revealed that they have been good friends since reforming last year.
Limp Bizkit originally went on a break back in 2005 following an argument between lead singer Fred Durst and guitarist Wes Borland but have since said that their recent reunion has made them close friends.
Speaking to a music magazine Fred said: “The thing with the band right now is that we're not just getting along, we're actually all friends. That's the first time that's happened... “Something magical has been happening with us since early 2009.”
Fred also claimed that the band's reunion came as the result of them leaving a void in the industry that no other group could fill... “We all used to look at the void where we were and feel like nobody had really filled it in the time we were away - there's no other band in the world like Limp Bizkit... “There's definitely a place for a good, sincere, fun heavy rock band and we're happy to fill that slot once more.”

Limp Bizkit are due to play Leeds and Reading festivals this weekend.

Robbie Williams & Gary Barlow - Shame

Lady GaGa - Dance In The Dark

ENFIN !

« Ce show fabuleux (The Monster Ball Tour, sa tournée), ouvre sur Dance In The Dark.

EDIT 26 Août : Dance In The Dark vient finalement d'être envoyé aux radios. Ouf !

Faithless

Faithless have addressed claims that they ‘sold out’ by deciding to collaborate with carmaker Fiat.
Faithless got together with Fiat to record an advert which doubles as the video for their single ‘Feelin' Good’... (and it’s a FANTASTIC single if you ask me!)
Sister Bliss insisted that the musicians maintain ‘a measure of artistic integrity’.
Speaking to music magazine she said: ‘I do believe we have a measure of artistic integrity, and we didn't want to do something that was kind of cheesy and obvious and crass... ‘There was a certain amount of – what can I say? – artistic conversations that went on.’
Maxi Jazz added: ‘It's a different world out there in terms of selling music [nowadays]. So if you want to get your music out there to people you have to try new avenues, as Prince has, as Radiohead have and as we are trying to do.’
I again personally this it’s FANTASTIC ...

Fantasia sets the record straight

From a VH1 press release that just popped into my inbox:

"VH1’s five-time Emmy® Award-nominated documentary series 'Behind The Music' returns with a brand new special episode featuring 'American Idol' winner and four-time Grammy Award nominee, Fantasia Barrino. Included in this episode, Fantasia will address the most recent events in her life in an interview that was taped on Saturday, August 21. Narrated by Jim Forbes, this 'Behind The Music' will give viewers an inside look into the personal and professional life of one of music’s greatest vocalists. Along with interviews from Fantasia herself, the episode will feature stories from some of the people who know her best as well as never-before-seen footage. 'Behind The Music: Fantasia' premieres on Tuesday, August 24 at 9:00 PM*.‪

"Growing up a country girl from North Carolina to becoming one of the queens of R&B, Fantasia has overcome all odds on her dramatic rise to fame. In this episode of 'Behind The Music,' Fantasia reveals her issues with low self-esteem, a traumatic rape at the age of 14, an unexpected pregnancy at 17, an abusive relationship with a former boyfriend, facing bankruptcy, dealing with a shocking illness and most recently being rushed to the hospital due to an overdose of aspirin and a sleeping aid.

"Determined to make a better life for herself and daughter Zion, Fantasia decided to pursue her musical dreams by auditioning for season three of 'American Idol.' She poured her heart and soul into each performance and beat out such competitors as Jennifer Hudson, LaToya London, and George Huff, to ultimately win the title of 'American Idol.' Since then, Fantasia has gone on to become a platinum-selling international superstar and her first single 'I Believe' on J Records debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. This debut made Fantasia the first artist in history to achieve this with their debut single. In the coming years, Fantasia recorded two albums, published a memoir entitled 'Life Is Not a Fairy Tale,' was nominated for four Grammy® Awards, made her Broadway debut in 'The Color Purple,' and starred in her own VH1 reality show 'Fantasia For Real.' Always the underdog, Fantasia has proved she can defeat any obstacle she encounters on her journey to the top. This episode includes exclusive footage of Fantasia’s high school graduation where she received her diploma nearly a decade after dropping out of school. Also featured are interviews with her family, ex-boyfriend Brandel Shouse, 'American idol' alum George Huff and Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment Clive Davis."

Kelly Rowland

The FANTASTIC Kelly Rowland is reportedly filming 2 music videos in just 1 WEEK.
Kelly who just premiered her new UK single ‘Forever And A Day’ is shooting the promo for the track in addition to her US single ‘Grown Woman’.
Reports say that Kelly is filming the video for ‘Forever And A Day’ in Los Angeles this week, with ‘Grown Woman’ being shot over the weekend.

Kelly also this week revealed that separate US and International versions of her 3rd album will be released (as i reported on, on Wednesday!)

Her latest single is the 3rd to be produced by French DJ David Guetta.

Mark Ronson

Top DJ and Producer Mark Ronson has revealed that he quit partying after seeing pictures of himself drinking every day in the press...Mark revealed that he thought the media was portraying him in a negative way because he was associated with Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen.
A national newspaper quotes him as saying: “Look back at pictures of me from that time, I simply do not recognise myself. I'd go out for a beer after a gig and my photo would be everywhere the next day... “I was associated with Amy and Lily Allen because I'd worked with both of them... It must have looked like I was living this vapid lifestyle and just getting wasted every night.”
He also said that: “I've scaled back on the smoking and drinking. It's fun to have a beer but drinking Jack Daniel's before going on stage is a recipe for disaster. I don't miss the partying - I'm getting too much energy from the music I'm making.”

Shontelle

OMG I actually can’t believe I’m writing this but... Shontelle’s new single has been announced as ‘Perfect Nightmare’.
‘Perfect Nightmare’ is the second song to be taken from her upcoming sophomore album ‘No Gravity’ and will hit US radio stations on 31st August.
Shontelle recently revealed that she has been in the studio recording songs with Rihanna.‘

No Gravity’ is pencilled for release in November.

The Wanted - All Time Low

Lady GaGa

Lady GaGa has updated her fans Via Twitter by posted a picture of herself in a recording studio...
She updated fans on the progress of her new album admitting that she did not leave the studio last night.
She wrote: ‘Haven't left the studio. Each song I write, I feel closer to you. Miss you little monsters, little inspirations. X’ She then posted a picture of herself wrapped in a duvet in full make-up ... I can't wait to her new material!

Shayne Ward

Louis Walsh has reportedly admitted that he was ‘reluctant’ to let Shayne Ward go.
Louis managed Shayne’s career after the singer won ‘The X-Factor’ ... According to a national newspaper Louis said: ‘I thought Shayne had the X factor,’... ‘I thought he ticked every single box. He had the looks, the talent, the ability, the attitude and the ambition. I believed in him 100%... ‘I gave blood, sweat and tears in working with him - I absolutely did. Then there was no record, it all dried up.’
He continued: ‘There was nothing I could do at all. My hands were tied. I only wish him the best because I think he's a great guy. But I reluctantly had to let him go.’
Shayne Ward released his second album back in 2007, but its follow-up has been pushed back several times.
On the up side Shayne is still signed by record label Syco and latest reports suggest that his third album will be released in December.
Shayne has also just signed a deal with a management company and his new manager Alan Edwards is confident that he can still be a success saying: ‘I'm not surprised that Simon has not dropped Shayne because he really is a great singer,’ ... ‘When he offered to play me some of his new tracks, he blew me away... ‘I presumed it would be formulaic music, but it was very free feeling. I know Shayne's fans have missed him but music is art - it can't be rushed. I think that a bit of time between now and his last album could be an advantage - it puts a bit of distance between him and the show.’
Alan also confirmed that the album will have a Christmas release, which he claimed proves that the label is confident about the new material.

He added: ‘The record label are confident in the album because Shayne is a proper singer and has a real future. He is serious about singing, not about being a celebrity. That's why you haven't seen him attending red carpet events and premieres - that is not what he is about. Shayne is a substantial artist. I think he could go on for years.’

Madonna

OMG, OMG ... According to reports Madonna could earn $1 billion if she agrees to sign a five-year Vegas residency deal... I’ll book my ticket to Vegas now shall i...?
Madonna is said to be in talks with promoters which would see her follow in the footsteps of other Las Vegas acts including Elton John, Celine Dion and Cher...
According to a national newspaper the deal would push Madonna up the list of the highest paid female entertainers in the world to third position (behind Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart).
It is unclear whether the arrangement would conflict with her ten-year touring contract with Live Nation (signed in 2007 for a reported £80 million).

Year to date album sales stand at 185.1 million, down 12% compared to the same total at this point last year (211.1 million).

Tinie Tempah

The fantastic Tinie Tempah has revealed that he is battling with his record label over his next single release...
Tinie said that he is keen to release a track called ‘Invincible’ as the new single from his upcoming album after receiving positive feedback about the song from fans... Speaking to a national newspaper he revealed: “I’d love for ‘Invincible’ to be a single but it’s all in the record company’s hands,” ... “Fingers crossed I can claim another number one with my third release ‘Written In The Stars’ or at least make it a hat-trick of Top 3 singles.” ~ Can't wait to get my hands on the album - Love this guy!

Christina Aguilera

Here’s another blow for Christina Aguilera as she has reportedly been forced to accept private gigs after cancelling her tour due to poor ticket sales... but not only that, she’s had to slash the fee she’s paid for those private gigs!
While Elton John, Kylie Minogue & Leona Lewis are being paid £1 MILLION+ for a private gig an insider said: “Christina's performing at Bar Mitzvahs and weddings. She wanted to charge £1.3 million a time but her hubby Jordan Bratman convinced her to lower it to £157,000 so she'll get more gigs.” ... Poor Christina i like her!

Rock legends from the 70s and 80s are also sure to be huge hits, with The Eagles, Credence Clearwater Revival, Blondie and The Pretenders, Peter Frampton, America and Chicago, Pat Benatar and The Bangles, Robin Gibb and Bonnie Tyler all having heavily pre-sold shows for the Sydney spring-summer period.

Add to this list Leonard Cohen, Tim McGraw and Engelbert Humperdink, all of whom have enormous followings, then squeeze in local legend Powderfinger’s last big Sydney gig at the Entertainment Centre and James Morrison and his Big Band at the State Theatre, and it becomes clear Sydneysiders will be spoilt for choice on the music scene in late 2010.

Posting on their official website, they wrote: “We think at a time when many acts are producing electronic, disco-influenced tracks, with ‘Rock, Dust, Light, Star’ Jamiroquai has moved on and reverted to a more organic, live sound... “The shift really helped revitalise the band who ended up producing a superb album - even if we do say it ourselves! We hope you all agree as you get to hear it.”
Front man Jay Kay added: “Everything on the record is live. It's a real band record. The last, album - fantastic - but the whole thing became a little sterile. This time we've captured the flow of our live performances.”

Scissor Sisters

Jake Shears has admitted that the Scissor Sisters current album artwork could cost the group album sales.
Speaking to a national newspaper Jake said that it would have been another story if the clenched bottom had belonged to a female: “I feel happier than ever with what we're doing,”... “We're all really relaxed about it. There's no other band who could get away with this stuff. Our new music was born out of going to these insane sex parties.” He continued: “The album cover is provocative and we may not sell quite as many records because of it. It wouldn't be the same if it was a woman's behind... “I guess some people love us for who we are, some vehemently despise us.”

Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson has said she’d like to return to the UK to perform in the near future... and i’d be first in line for tickets!

Discussing the possibility of future UK shows, she revealed in an interview “I would really love to - it's been 12 years since I've played here in Europe and I miss it a great deal. The last tour [I took to Europe] was ‘The Velvet Rope’... “I wanted to come over with my other tours but I was nervous when we started the war. I was very worried. I'm not giving up singing for acting though. I love it too much. I'll come back for sure.”

Although Janet Jackson doesn’t currently have a record deal she has recorded the track ‘Nothing’ for the soundtrack of her new movie ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’

Crowe to send Ben Hur Sales Skyrocketing - Sydney Tourism Events

Ticket sales for the live stadium show Ben Hur are expected to skyrocket after Oscar winner Russell Crowe decided to join the 200-strong cast for two Sydney performances.

Crowe, who won an Oscar playing the Roman commander Maximus in Ridley Scott's 2000 epic film Gladiator, will be the narrator of the production, which tells the story of a galley slave who dared to defy the Roman Empire.

"It's not a play. It's not a musical. It's a spectacle. And you know you've got your chariot races, you've got a boat being boarded by female pirates, Pontius Pilate making his decision over Christ's future, so it's gigantic, it's amazing," Crowe said in Sydney on Tuesday.

The $15 million production of the two performances will be held at Sydney's ANZ Stadium on October 22 and 23.

The stadium will be transformed into a Roman amphitheatre and feature a full-scale chariot race and sea battle as well as stages representing the town of Judea and the Roman Senate.

Executive Producer Andrew Guild said the show's creators were ecstatic about Crowe's involvement.

"When the producers of this particular production suggested that Russell was interested and had shown some interest, they were absolutely - well, what can I say? - they were gobsmacked," Mr Guild told reporters.

It is still unclear if Crowe will narrate the performances live or pre-record them - a decision the actor says is completely up to French director Robert Hossein.

"I've played around with the script. They've given it to me and I've recorded a few versions of it, but I'll be having that conversation with the director when he gets here, and we'll see how we're going to work it out then," Crowe said.

"There's a thousand moving parts or more as you can imagine with something like this, so we'll let him tell me."

Adapted from the famous 1959 Oscar-winning film Ben Hur starring Charlton Heston, the Australian performance of Ben Hur - The Stadium Spectacular is the first time the production has been outside of France.

It premiered in Paris in 2006, where it drew in audiences of 300,000 over a five-night run.

Mr Guild said Stadefrance Live Events, which created the original French production, was thinking of sending it not just to Australia but around the world.

"They can see that it can be done in one of these enormous venues 12,000 miles away," Mr Guild said.

The Australian production is "well underway" with preparations, says Mr Guild.

"The horses are currently in training and have been already for three months up in Queensland, (and) the chariots have arrived from Paris," he said.

"The ship with 32 containers left about a week ago from France, bringing all the scenery and costumes out and rehearsals for the production will start on the 5th of October."

The show will require an enormous amount of rehearsal, particularly for potentially dangerous stunt scenes involving chariot races and a sea battle.

"The action is very much choreographed. These things don't happen by chance," Mr Guild said.

"It's like any theatrical production. When you see someone flying in Mary Poppins or disappearing into the stage in Wicked, when you see someone falling out of a chariot, or wheels falling off chariots and chariots crashing, these things are very carefully worked through and very carefully rehearsed."

Crowe said he was looking forward to working on such a "gigantic" and ambitious project which is expected to be "bigger than Ben Hur".

"All I can see in this is a great deal of fun," Crowe said.

"I just had to get involved. I think it's going to be a hoot."

Shy'm - Je Suis Moi

Et hop : disque d'or.
